DIGITAL PAINTING

WITH LANE BROWN

This course is an introduction to digital painting and color composition for film and animation. With an emphasis on studying the works of old masters, students will discover the process of how to deconstruct the picture plane through film studies, reproductions of master works, and the widely used—but often understated—industry-standard technique of ‘Photobashing.’ Course work will cover color theory, perspective, and the use of brushes & textures in Photoshop (this includes: creating images of characters, props, or vehicles using photo overlays in Photoshop).

The 4-payment split option is only available for the first week of registration (Four Payment Installment Payment Cutoff Date: Nov 6, 2020), with payments scheduled to post monthly. After the first week, students can split payments in up to 3 installments starting at $233*. (Three Payment Installment Payment Cutoff Date: Dec 6, 2020) after Dec 6, students can split payments in up to 2 installments (Two Payment Installment Payment Cutoff Date: Jan 6, 2021)

At the time of final purchase, you will be presented with a few payment options: PayPal, credit card, or through our “Installments” option. For new students, this will be at the end of the registration form you complete after making your class selection(s). For existing students, this will be after you log in and make your class selection(s). In either case, the rest is pretty simple!
