Since World War I, tanks have both mesmerized and terrorized wartime front-line combat. The idea that something so bulky and large could be all-terrain and demolish anything in its path changed the tides of war for years to come. The originator of the idea for the tank has been disputed for years with some saying Da Vinci drew the first concepts of the tank while others claim that the idea was more modern and based off of H. G. Wells’ 1903 short, The Land Ironclads. Regardless of who actually originated the tank concept, we can all agree that tanks are, simply put, badass.
