• Zombie Playground Concept Art by Jason Chan

Massive Black Inc. has been working on a video game based on Zombie Playground, a creation by Senior Concept Artist Jason Chan. Zombie Playground is an online, team based, action arena game with RPG elements.

In Zombie Playground you take on the role of a kid during a zombie apocalypse as seen through his or her imagination.  Your school is overrun by the undead, and it’s up to you and your friends to do whatever it takes to survive!

Zombie Playground has launched a Kickstarter campaign that will run from May 22nd until June 26th. This funding campaign will ultimately determine the fate of Zombie Playground, so be sure to help out here by pledging and you’ll have the chance to get some really cool stuff! Also, make sure to follow them on Twitter @playzombiegame and Facebook.

  1. awsome artwork ,every detail is clear

  2. more violence for the children? this is wrong…sick idea

    • Why not? I don’t see anything wrong playing a kid beating up a zombie or whatever. It’s a game. Also, their kickstarter campaign clearly states, “We do want to make it very clear: this is not a game for kids!”- so of course it is up to the parents to monitor their children and not ALLOW them to play if they don’t want them to.

      • But don’t you think its wrong to have zombie children? Don’t you feel that we’re crossing a line here?

      • your completely missing the point here. some of these pics show children who have turned into zombies, who then would have to be killed by the player. don’t you think its wrong to kill children in a video game?

    • I don’t think zombies discriminate…

      • i mean the artist. let me ask this another way. in video games and movies dont you fee that we’re crossing a line with making children into zombies? then having to kill them?

      • No I don’t. Its not doing it in a gratuitous manner. its just like kids using their imaginations, killing zombies with squirt guns and wiffle ball bats. I genuinly don’t see a problem because its adults that will be playing it. it would feel stranger if it was kids killing only adult zombies…

    • I thought it was pretty clear that this game wasn’t intended for the age group that is portrayed in the game…

… It’s not going to be teen or adult, but it’s not exactly preschool either. The fact is, you have to get used to the fact that there is material out there that is going to hurt your children. Can you blame artists and publishers for that? No. It’s you’re responsibility to prevent them from accessing such material if you see it immoral.

It’s a cartoon. Dammit, even snoopy the dog pretends to be a famous fighter pilot that downed dozens, if not over a hundred planes. Those people would have died.

And killing children in a video game? No such thing. They’re zombies, cartoon zombies with unproportioned body parts. It’s like Tom and Jerry, they get hurt and more than once Tom gets sliced into a million pieces, but he’s always there again to try to catch Jerry.

So no-siree, I wouldn’t let children play this game. But more violence for children? Pfff. Times are changing. There’s more sex, violence, and racial and socio-economic conflict ions oozing from the world than ever before. So what you show your kids, if you have kids, is up to you. But commenting on a post with ridiculously soft views is ludicrous.

P.S. If you don’t like violence with children, why did you click and read a we page named Zombie Playground?
