    Pablo Palomeque is a concept artist and matte painter based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Pablo is currently working in the film and video game industry. His list of projects include films such as Metegol (Foosball), The Secret in Their Eyes both by director Juan José Campanella, The Games Makers (currently in-production) and the video game Aliens Colonial Marines.

  2. Seems tool heavy to me. Unless I’m missing something Pablo seems to be leaning on ‘cut and paste’ techniques as opposed to organic painting.

    Photo manipulation is surely a valid way to describe landscapes, but there’s something to be said for letting the eye fill in the gaps.

    I could be totally wrong, but these compositions seem static compared to other examples on this site.

    • There is lot of landscape generating software and some stock trees…but for the beginning stage this is done with lots of skill and software knowledge.And important part is some of directors prefer that, since they can plug in rough model into pre-viz pipeline, that expressionistic speed paint approach can not always cover.
