About the Movie
In the realm of Asgard, the powerful but arrogant Thor reignites an ancient war against the Frost Giants. As punishment, his father Odin strips him of his powers and banishes him to Earth as a mortal. To regain his hammer, Mjolnir, Thor must prove he is worthy.
On Earth, Thor meets scientist Jane Foster and begins to learn humility. Meanwhile, his brother Loki seizes the Asgardian throne after discovering his true heritage as a Frost Giant. Loki sends the lethal Destroyer to Earth to eliminate Thor. By selflessly risking his life to protect others, Thor regains his worthiness and his god-like strength. He returns to Asgard, defeats Loki, and destroys the Bifrost Bridge to save the realms—even though it separates him from Jane.
